Social Media Campaign

The brief was to create a social media campaign that helped connect and grow the Taiwanese audience for one of Asias largest mid to high end speaker manufacturers. Edifier Taiwan wanted to increase brand awareness, and generate a larger audience for their online store and retail presence.

Bdigital ran Edifiers social media channels on Instagram, IGTV and Facebook for three months in 2019 as well as assisting with strategy for online-offline events. With a limited budget we managed to increase the audience size by 101% and increase engagement by 89% on Facebook. Engagement on Instagram was up to 75% higher under Bdigital.

In order to generate real engagement with the existing audience as well as growing the fan base we had to create a significant amount of original content tailored for a Taiwanese audience. This included photos and videos featuring the products being used in familiar locations and situations around Taipei, and utilizing language more relevant to a local audience. We also created a video series for YouTube and IGTV that focused on highlighting the unboxing and testing experience of various Edifier products.

Audience growth was achieved through a multi pronged approach, with regular, interesting and unique content tailored for each of the social media platforms, as well as an extremely successful share-based speaker giveaway.

In order to round out the social media schedule and have regular fresh content we also localized a number of Edifier Internationals video content by adding subtitles in Traditional Chinese for a Taiwanese audience. These were effective at telling the brands story featuring hip dancers, Japanese DJ and a sporting personalities.
